Facebook Advertising: The benefits

This isn’t necessarily a bad thing though because Facebook allows advertisers to target Facebook users who are relevant to them. This can be great for small and large companies as well as the users too – if they come across a business who sell the products they love.

With Facebook advertising, you’re able to not only target people of a certain age or sex, you can also target people by their interests, whether that be boxing, furniture, fashion or beauty. Let’s say you’re a new clothing brand and you have a similar style to ASOS or Topshop, you can actually people who already like these brands. This is a great way to reach the right type of customers and you can only do this on Facebook. It’s the king of targeted advertising and it’s helped many businesses gain followers, improve engagement and boost sales.

With Facebook your adverts are positioned in several places, including the news feed but you can choose to run your ads across all eligible placements on Facebook, Instagram and the Audience Network. Obviously fees will be higher if you were to promote your brand using all of these placement areas but it goes to show how powerful your campaign can be. Of course, like most social media platforms, Facebook also relies on visuals. Visuals play a huge part in making people act on adverts and engage so you need to upload a nice high quality visual for best results. Too much text in your image may mean Facebook reject it, so be sure to find the right balance between word and text. If you want to try out a new form of online advertising and have a company Facebook page, why not give it a go!
